Viva la revolucion?

Given my previous post about my very positive impressions of Mesh06, I hesitate to do this, but nobody's reading, right?

Tara Hunt's keynote at the show was great. Enthusiastic, inspiring, uplifting. Great... Except: Right there in the middle of the presentation, where she exhorts the audience to "Join the Revolution" is a 20 ft. picture of Che Guevara up on the screen.

Now, no matter how you feel about Ernesto, this is a bad thing to do. Imagine if you're a Cuban exile who paddled to Florida on a door? How does that make you feel? Even if you feel Che was a hero, I'd hardly think you'd be too impressed that he's being used to symbolize a marketing and communications "revolution." But by including that image, this is really what you're saying:

che guevara: I have no idea who this is

Tara, I don't know you, and I think your ideas are great and your enthusiasm is infectious, but please stop using that picture. It's not cool. And maybe have a read of my buddy Andrew's book.
